Description: Strongly suggest obtaining local knowledge prior to landing for the first time. Landing strip currently leased to Utah Back Country Pilots. UBCP requests no man-made artifacts (drill bits, tools, etc.) be removed. Emergency water and runway grading tools in shack.

Runways: RWY 9 is uphill 1.38% and has displaced threshold due to overgrown brush. East end 50 feet higher. First several hundred feet of west end not usable due to large rocks and bumps. Touch down point may be difficult to determine by the first time visitor. Threshold markers should be present.

Additional runway 18/36: 1290 feet long x 50 feet wide mostly overgrown and unusable. Slightly uphill to the north.

Approach Considerations: Unfamiliar pilots should positively identify the touchdown zone as the runway appears to be longer than it is. Recommend land east, depart west.

Amenities: Parking areas are at east end and very soft.

Windsock: Wind sock west of miner's shack.

Very scenic and beautiful landscape. My tires were just too small for how rough this strip is. There are large rocks protruding from the ground on the airstrip. I would suggest 850’s or larger to not beat up your airframe during your ground role. I plan to return and explore once I get larger tires.

Runway could use some minor work (a few bumps here and there, just a few weeds...not too bad). Crosswind runway could use some major work. Will add to our spring airstrip cleanup schedule.

Runway in good condition. Area looked pretty clean. The lizards were great company for breakfast.

The cones are still there on the approach for rwy 9. Great visual for threshold on short final. Rwy is in good condition with a couple nice spots to pull out of the way.
